We began our Academic Success series in 6th and 7th grade in September.  This is a 5 part series where we will be learning goal setting with SMART goals, study skills, and other skills that will help our students be successful in the classroom.  Their favorite part of the activity was the pipe cleaner activity where they had to take a pipe cleaner and form it into a goal they wanted to set for themselves.  Then they had to use that pipe cleaner and write a smart goal that represented it.  What is a SMART goal?  SMART stands for a goal that is SPECIFIC, MEASURABLE, ACHIEVABLE, RELEVANT, and TIMELY.  Looking forward to watching these students begin to set goals!  Following you will find pictures of our 6th graders working on their SMART goals!
